Thnak you very much. I got what I needed. I didn't get those sources when I looked. Thank you again.
so, exports would probably decrease with an appreciated dollar, since they would be more expensive overseas, right? Thanks!!!
So would it be 6ab^2(3a-5b)(2a+7b)?
Thanks so much. :)
So a refrigerator in your kitchen would heat it up?
ok thanks :)

it would be the same i think cuz there is really nothing to add
thanks but i have another one
should i just ask now or make a new question?
yeah
I understand the part with volatility, but somehow I'm thinking the prices would be elastic with the big changes in prices due to weather, etc.
I'm sorry I'm being dense, but why would the question state that domestic demand is inelastic?
OK, now I get it. Thanks!
Maybe the story of King Arthur has lasted so long because there are so many versions and it is hard to say whether King Arthur was real or not. I don't know what about the story appeals to a variety of people because I hate it. This is why I asked. Did the knights of the round table really do anything heroic? In my opinion they wouldn't be heroes today but I'm not sure. I'm not positive on any of the questions I have asked that's why I asked them. So why has the story of King Arthur lasted so long and why does it appeal to so many people? Would the knights be considered heroes today?
Thanks for the websites on heroes. I think that the legend of King Arthur has lasted so long because people are fascinated with the story. It is hard to tell what of the legend is true or not and if King Arhtur really ever existed at all and I think people like to make their own conclusions of the story. Are any of my thoughts correct on why the legend has lasted so long and why it appeals to so many people? This essay is for my final exam so it is worth a good portion of my grade.
I have to write an essay on the first three articles of the constitution, do you have any suggestions?
Thank you!
F=kx
x=F/k
7.3/53= .138
Thanks, that is very helpful. In the second sentence I was trying to say to stop being; is that incorrect?
First you need to multiply the first and last digits in the equation (2 and 45). Now you find factors of 90 that will equal 13 when added. Both 18 and 5 go into 90 and when used appropriately, they add to -13. So to write it in its new form it would look like 2x^2-18x+5x-45. Now put parantheses around 2x^2-18x and another set around 5x-45. Notice that in the first set of parantheses that 2 and x are in both numbers. And in the second the number 5 is in both. So it will now look like 2x(x-9)+5(x-9). The function within the parantheses will be the same every time (after you factor the two set of numbers of course). Now you take what is in the parantheses and use that as part of the answer. You also use the part outside of the parantheses as well. So your answer should look like (2x+5)(x-9). The two parantheses can be switched.
That's just it. I don't know how to factor it out because i keep getting 2n^2-n=0
I my gosh. I knew how to do that it was just that I was thinking too much into the problem. Thanks a bunch.
just curious, but would mole be right
How would you set it up? Would it be (72/2) + (72/1.5)= (70/x)? we didn't do examples in class
It is and believe it or not I am crying because I have a test tomorrow
I don't think that is the correct answer, according to my book it says the answer is -14. I got the same LCD you did
NEVERMIND your somewhat right, yet wrong answer helped me and I got the right answer.
NEVERMIND, I used common sense
Thank you!!!
Yes, it's quite an odd problem. My teacher was attempting to show us something to do with polyprotic acids, but he also neglected to tell us that solving for y was a waste of time because its negligible. I was just confused because there's no conjugate base and I was not sure how it reacted.
I think that the NH4NO3 comes from the reaction of NH4OH and HNO3. But I'm not entirely sure.
Anyway, thank you!
thank you
I keep getting different answers, can someone help?
(16^sqrt5)
---------------- * 32^-2sqrt5
(4^sqrt5)
Maybe it's clearer like this.
By the way, I got 2^-8sqrt5
You also need to run a spell check to make sure no words are spelled incorrectly
okay so i add the .4852 to the 1.8 and i get 2.2852 but it keeps saying that im wrong.
i don't understand
It's still wrong. I have no idea what to do at this point, but thanks for your help anyway.
no it is the jiskah website. i have a picture of my math problem and i made it into a link so that it would be easier for the tutors to solve but this website is lame and wont allow links to be used in questions
Is it because it releases free energy?
for 2, maybe HR department could act as a link between branch and home office to foster better communication. Then what roles should supervisiors and managers be responsible for?
3, can't really think what role the Internet play.
Thanks for any help/ideas.
Thanks for the info, much appreciated:)
Why x can't be negative? Isn't it just y that can't be negative?
That's what I believe it is, but I'm not sure... ?
Thank you both!
drwls.. what do you mean about Jiskha teachers? No I mean at the college I go to I'm taking this class online, and the teacher is not helpful at all, even when we ask questions. Thank you.
Thank you so much! You have saved our life tonight!
I think evening and celebration are the only nouns. Am I right?
I totally don't understand this part:
so area = 2[integral] (-x^2 + 27)dx from 0 to 3
= 2[(-1/3)x^3 + 27x] from 0 to 3
= 2[-9+81 - 0]
= 144

Ok thank you everyone! I think it is the UUS Maine now! You're right it involved Spain more. And the Ostend Manifesto I was a secret document written in 1854 by U.S. diplomats at Ostend, Belgium, describing a plan to acquire Cuba from Spain. Thanks so much everyone! :)
So for number 1 I would go with b... question 2 I went with b because "antiquated" means old fashioned and wedidn't have old equipment to handicap us...and question 3... I'm sorry I'm not sure about that one but I'll try looking for it! When I find the answer I'll let you know if you still need help!
I looked in my AP American textbook and it says that "The liberty-loving Filipinos assumed that they, like the Cubans, would be granted their freedom after the Spanish-American War. They were tragically deceived. Washington excluded them from the peace negotiations with Spain and made clear its intention to stay in the Philippines indefinitely. Bitterness toward the occupying American troops erupted into open insurrection on February 4, 1899, under Emilio Aguinaldo." So that's why I would say that number 1 is b. I hope that helps you out!
hey so for question 3 i would go with a b/c while North, Central and South America against European conquest with the Monroe Doctrine...it wasn't what we did for the ENTIRE 19th century. We got involved with Hawaii, Latin America, and Cuba...all countries that were having conflicts with European powers. So I'd say a is the answer! Sorry that took me a while! :)
Thanks! But, does this rule apply to any molecular compounds. I noticed that for H2O, H2S, H2Se H2Te, the rule applies to H2S to H2Te but is different for H2O. Why is that??
I think the it was magnetic force that pulled them up, if I am recalling that correctly, because magnetic force is related to magnets.
Sorry, I don't know how to help you with your second question.
I hope I helped you a little!
Try to find the difference between each number. Notice that if you take 12 away from 16, you get 4, and the same if you take 16 away from 20.
Therefore, the pattern is add 4.
I hope I helped!
First, distribute. Basically, multiply the 2 by 4 and by the -6.
That makes it be:
5x + 8x + -12 + 2x
Then, you can add all of the x's together to make it simplified, getting:
15x + 12 < 10
Then, take 12 away from each side, and divide by 5.
I hope I helped you!
The y-intercept is 7.
A way to know what is the y-intercept when you are in that form (slope-intercept form), it is the number that does not have an x next to it.
To find the x-intercept, put 0 in the place of x and find what would be x to equal 0.
Hope I helped!
Well, here's how to do it your way:
First, to find the y intercept, plug in 0 for x.
That means 5 times 0 - something equals five.
That means that it must be negative 5.
Then, put 0 in for y.
5 times something - 0 equals five, so obviously x is 1.
Another way is to take the equation from your form (standard form) into slope-intercept form, which is y=mx+b.
To do that, take 5x away from each side, and multiply each side by -1 to make the y positive.
That gets you to:
y = 5x + 5
Then, the y-intercept is 5, because, when in slope-intercept form, the y-intercept is always the number without the x. Then, to find the x-intercept,do what we did before with putting the 0 in for y.
That means:
0 = 5 times something (x) + 5
An easy way to figure that out is to take 5 away from each side, then divide by 5, which gets us -1, like before.
If you have any questions, you can write another response.
I hope I helped!
Thanks a lot. I think it's great what you teachers do on this site. Very generous of you all to help us out.
Let me guess....ETH/125....right?...I find this crazy, Good luck!...Oh I can't find any answers either! but this deff. helps!
Sorry, it seems cutting from Word and pasting here doesn't work. again the problem is.
Solve for all values of c if 0 is less than or equal to x, which is less than or equal to 2pie.
(cosine squared of 4x) + (cosine of 4x)=0
the answer is
x= pie/8, 3pie/8, 5pie/8, 7pie/8, 9pie/8, 11pie/8, 13pie/8, 15pie/8, pie/4, 3pie/4, 5pie/4, 7pie/4
For the first problem all you have to do is add 3 hours to 10:00am.(count 10:00 to 11:00 (1 hour), 11:00 to 12:00 (2 hours), etc.)
For the second problem just count backwarks 8 hours (i.e. 3 hours earlier of 5:30 would be 2:30 (5:30 to 4:30 (1 hour), 4:30 to 3:30 (2 hours), 3:30 to 2:30 (3 hours))).
Thanks! That makes a lot more sense.
My teacher told me the answers were (-1,7) (-3,4) (1,4) and (-1,1). But i just didn't understand how to do it, the bell rang.
Thank you very much! I am still a little confused, but it makes much more sense to me than it did before!
Please explain "What happens to moist air as it traveles over the Cascade Range"
So far I got it down to ((4/3)n^3+(11/6)n^2)/((4/3)n^3)+(2n^2)+(2/3)n.
Would I be able to cancel out the ((4/3)n^3)? So that it would be ((11/6)n^2)/((2n^2)+(2/3)n)?
Or can I simplify that even futher by combining the n^2s?
Because all of the other days are week (weak) days.
Thanks!
Thanks for the advice Mrs. Sue that's exactly what I'll do. I also make up problems by myself and have someone check them for me.

i have no idea, i just wrote what the question said. but yes that's what i interpreted it to mean
i know how to use both poisson and binomial tables and i know the formulas for calculating means and standard deviations, i just have a hard time figuring out when i need to use the binomial formulas or when to use the poisson formulas.

that's not right can someone please help.
I don't understand how you got from lim (1+sinx/x)/(1+cosx/x) to the answer. I know that sinx/x is 1 so would the top be 2?
where did you get f(x)=2x??
Thank you.
do you know how to use the diamond? or were you taught with the FOIL square?
Then you would use FOIL, and find which two numbers multiply to get 2, and add to get -3
Oh! I've seen that equation we just don't call it a derivative. thanks!
Try making both 2 and 1 negative
All elements on the table are trying to get to the 8th column. Metals on the periodic table lose electrons. An example is aluminum. Aluminum needs three in order to reach the far right of the table. Don't move right, count three to the left. So you write Al +3. This is a cation. Nonmetals gain electrons. An example is sodium. Once again go left, count 1. This is written as Na +1 and is a anion. I hope this helps. I'll explain more if you need it.
Why did you square root the second line? Would you please be able to explain? Thanks!
Alright, I found -1/4cos(x)^4 but I didn't get the right answer.
Did I dint the wrong anti-derivative? Do I have to do reverse chain rule and get... (-1/4cos(x))sin(x)^4?
A brief description of the terrestrial resource issue. My work is done I just need a brief discription, please!
I have tried to put the numbers in the equation, but I am not getting the correct answer. Is there an easier way to explain it?
For the speed at which the ball was launched I got 18.12m/s. That part was right according to the computer. I didn't understand parts b or c of the question. For part a you multiplied vt by .608 instead of .6018 and that is why I got a different answer. Could you explain parts b and c again? Thanks.
I put down that there are 98 protons, 3 neutrons
Okay thanks, I'm writing a document based question and my teacher isn't very good at helping me with anything. I found the religions they gave me to work with so not helpful or relative to each other in anyway.
that is actually the answer (that my book gives) how did you get that??
Ok i got that too... it comes to a fraction but then when you check it in the equations you don't get the same answer.
Thanks for your help! I understand number 2, but I still don't get number 1. Is there any other way to explain it?
THANK YOU!
thanks, i double checked and everything looks right. i'm going with answer d. thank you again!
The range can be found by plugging the values of the domain in the equation. For example, 3/(-3-6)=-1/3
-1/3 is part of the range because the range represents the outputs or y values that correspond to the inputs (the domain), or x values
sorry i did not mean to submit this question multiple times, my internet connection is low and i didn't think it went through. i apologize.
