Louisa used red, blue and yellow beads to make some bracelets. She used twice as many red beads as blue beads and thrice as many yellow beads as red beads. She used 105 more yellow beads than blue
beads. How many beads did she use altogether?
R = 2B
Y = 3R
B+105 = Y
3R = B + 105
3*2B = B + 105
6B-B = 105
5B = 105 so B = 21
Since B + 105 = Y then
21 + 105 = Y = 126
I'll leave R for you. Find the total beads used by adding R + B + Y.
