What two fractions, add up to 1/3?
i know its a very very stupid question, but my teacher said adding 5/30 + 5/30 is wrong (Which i did), but maybe he read the question wrong.
Answer, Maybe?

How about 1/6 + 1/6 = 2/6 = 1/3
or maybe:
1/29 + x = 1/3
x = 1/3 - 1/29 = 29 / 87 - 3/87 = 26/87
check
1/29 + 26 /87 = 3/87 + 26/87 = 29/87 = 1/3
so
1/29 + 26/87 works just for fun :)
or maybe:
1/29 + x = 1/3
x = 1/3 - 1/29 = 29 / 87 - 3/87 = 26/87
check
1/29 + 26 /87 = 3/87 + 26/87 = 29/87 = 1/3
so
1/29 + 26/87 works just for fun :)

In other words it is a silly question.

As anonymous pointed out in his specific example,
there would be an infinite number of such fractions,
start with any fraction a, let the other be x
then a + x = 1/3
x = 1/3 - a
e.g. let a = 4/7
then x = 1/3 - 4/7 = -5/21
check: 4/7 - 5/21
= 12/21 - 5/21
= 7/21
= 1/3
