                Marco collected 3 times as many toys as Shane. Shane collected half as many toys as John. Altogether, they collected 54 toys. How many toys did Marco collect?
My answer is 27
3 * 2 = 6
54 / 6 = 9
9 * 3 = 27

    Done algebraically:
Johns number -- 2x
Shane ---- x
Marco --- 3x
2x+x+3x = 54
x = 9
Marco had 3x or 27
