the last one is tone i just took the quick check and i put meaning in and i was wrong went back to look at the answer it was tone so 1,2,3 are right and 4 is tone not meaning

It is indeed tone, I took the assignment and got all correct, tone is the answer not meaning.
Yes, as others are saying, the last answer is tone, not meaning. The question was saying that if you replace the word that has a different connotation but the same denotation, what would be changed? Because denotation means “ the literal dictionary meaning of a word”, the meaning is going to be the same, but the tone will be different due to the connotation. It’s good to know the difference :)
