What is the correct way to classify a triangle with angles that measure 20°, 40°, and 120°?

Answers

triangles with an angle greater than 90º are called scalene
Answered by Reiny
Triangles with an angle greater than 90º are called obtuse,
triangles with 3 different angles, thus 3 different sides, are called scalene.

Some triangles, such as yours, can be both obtuse and scalene,
but a triangle with angles of 120°, 30°, 30° would be obtuse but not scalene.
