if the quiz is counted more than the other grades, things get more complicated.
If the quiz counts as much as all the rest, then the final grade would be (88+95)/2 = 91.5
I suspect there is missing information here.
If someone has an 88% in a class and their total quiz grade is 95%, if they were to have a 2% extra credit added to their grade, could their total grade become a 90%? // They think it may have a score similar to 8/5 or 9/5.
This is just a regular question for a friend. Any help is welcome!

The information that I can provide is this:
My current grade is: 88%
My average quiz grade is: 95%
A regular quiz counts for 15%, which isn't the highest of all assessments.
These extra credit assignments are with 2%, but they have scores similar to 8/5 and 9/5.
