Lars bought 5 boxes of pretzels. Each box has 8 ounces of pretzels. Before the party, her mom ate 6 ounces of pretzels. If one serving of pretzels is 2/3 ounce, how many servings will be left for the party?

(8*5-6) / 2/3 = 34 * 3/2 = ___

Started with 5 * 8 = 40 oz
mom ate 6 so have 40 - 6 = 34 oz
34 oz * 1 serving / (2/3 oz ) = 34*3/2 = 17*3 servings
Mom ate 9 servings??? , check bathroom scale !!!!
