in math, "of" means multiply, so
3/4 * 500 = 375
3/4 * 500 = 375

Here's the correct answer. Please don't copy and paste.
The first step is to convert three fourths into a decimal.
In order to do so, I need to divide the numerator and the denominator.
3 ÷ 4 = 0.75
Now we need to multiply 0.75 by 500 beacause 0.75 were the number of seats filled and 500 was the number of seats.
0.75 x 500 = 375
So 375 seats are filled.

A theater has 500 seats. Three fourths of the seats are filled. How many seats are filled?
First,
the equation we have is,
(3 ÷ 4) x 100 = ?
First 3 ÷ 4 = 0.75,
Secondly,
Take 0.75 and times that by 100, and we get 375.
Lastly,
Our answer is 375.
375 seats are filled in the Theater out of the 500 seats.

bum de dum. I don't get what you put because 0.75 times 100 is only 75. I think you meant 0.75 x 500 = 375
