I know this is a repost and i tried to do this but i don't know how to do it.
Find the derivative of each of the following functions using the product rule. you do not have to simplify your answer.

I recall seeing this with Damon answering it,
in a nutshell, the product rule says
(uv)' = u v' + u' v
so for
f(y) = (1/y^2 - 3/y^4)(y+5y^3)
f'(y) = (1/y^2 - 3/y^4)(1 + 15y^2) + (-2/y^3 + 12/y^5)(y + 5y^3)
Since they only wanted the first line derivative, that's it.
(in case you are wondering, I mentally changed (1/y^2 - 3/y^4) to (y^-2 - 3y^-4)
