How long will a 100uf capacitor take to discharge through a 100Ω bleed resistor?

RC = 100*100*10^-6 = 10^-4 = 0.0001 s.
The capacitor will discharge in 5 time constants:
t = 5 * 0.0001 = 0.0005 s.
