I have 4 questions I’m stuck on,

1) -4K+2(5k-6)=-3k-39

2) -16+5n=-7(-6+8n)+3

3)10p+9-11-p=-2(2p+4)-3(2p-2)

4) 10n+3(8+8n)=-6(n-4)

I don't see your efforts or responses.

I will do the third one for you, follow the same kind of steps for the others

10p+9-11-p=-2(2p+4)-3(2p-2)
9p - 1 = -4p - 8 - 6p + 6 <--- simplified the left side, used the distributive property on the right
9p - 1 = -10p - 2 <---- I simplified the right side
9p + 10p = -2 + 1 <---- I added 10p to both sides, and I added 1 to both sides
19p = -1
p = -1/p <----- I divided both sides by 19, the coefficient of my variable, this is very common as the last step

general rule for your questions:
expand, using the distributive property where you see the brackets
simplify each side
make sure your variables are on one side, the constants (the plain numbers) are on the other side
As your last step, divide both sides by the number you see in front of the variable (the coefficient)
Well, I will attempt number 3. They are all the same really.
Suggest you google
math is fun distributive property
3)10p+9-11-p=-2(2p+4)-3(2p-2)
10 p - 2 = -4 p - 8 - 6p + 6
10 p - 2 = - 10 p - 2
20 p = 0
p = 0
----------------------------
now go back and check
-----------------------
3)10(0)+9-11-(0)=-2(2(0)+4)-3(2(0)-2)
0 -2 = -8 + 6
-2 = - 2 sure enough
Reiny, I’m sorry you don’t see my effort but I’ve tried this on my own 3 times already and all I’m trying to do is make sure I’m doing the steps right.
Thank you Damon
Damon's solution is correct, I somehow lost the -11 on the left side, my bad
