formula for perimeter of a rectangle is: 2(L+B) =42 since L and B is x and x , then 2(x+x)=42 :4x= 42 :x=10.5, l=10.5 ×2=21. and b=21

Let the width be 'w'.
Perimeter (P) = 2(L + w) = 42
Substituting L = x, we get:
2(x + w) = 42
x + w = 21
w = 21 - x
Therefore, the width of the rectangle in terms of 'x' is (21 - x) cm.
Perimeter (P) = 2(L + w) = 42
Substituting L = x, we get:
2(x + w) = 42
x + w = 21
w = 21 - x
Therefore, the width of the rectangle in terms of 'x' is (21 - x) cm.
