Which option most accurately evaluates the process of US expansion in North America from the early to mid-19th century?
1) The modern-day midwestern states were acquired before the southwestern states.
2)The efforts of Lewis and Clark led to the acquisition of all modern-day US lands west of the Mississippi River.
3) The Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalgo marked the beginning of US expansion into the northwestern states.
4) The modern-day southwestern states were acquired before the modern-day midwestern states.
I am not entirely sure what the answer is and I can't find it in my reading because it's an exam for the course, But i think the answer is either 1 or 4?

Look, @Ms.Sue , I saw some of your other answers to kids, and that was extremely rude. On homework forums, people are asking for help with answers that they do not know and they've already attempted to use google and search. Being rude to students asking for answers that they cannot figure out is unprofessional and makes you seem like a petty person for attacking young children and like a bad teacher for ridiculing students asking for answers from professionals that they could not find. If you can't be nice and polite instead of sarcastic and rude to the students asking for help on this forum, then don't respond instead of making impressionable teenagers feel dumb.

@Ms. Sue , you are extremely rude. There's absolutely no reason to get mad at students who are looking for help. You are the reason students dislike school.
