Draw two squares of appropriate size to compare the areas of Alaska (591,004 miles squared) and Texas (266,807 miles squared).


* I don't get how to set up and do this problem.

Draw the squares to whatever size you want, but indicate the scale you are using (e.g., 1 inch = 10,000 miles). The square root of the area will give you the length of the sides, since area of any rectangle = length times width.
