Need some help with two questions
1. 6.5% of what number is 325?
I got 325 ÷ 0.065 = 5000
Is that corrrect?
The minimum daily values (MDVs) for certain foods are given. They are based on a 2,000 calorie per day diet. Find decimal and fractional notation for the percent notation in each sentence.
1/2 cup of Campbells’ New England clam chowder provides 6% of the MDV of iron

2. 6% = 0.06 = 6/100 = 3/50

would it not make sense to test your answer by taking .065 times 5000?
As to your second question, you should have learned method to change between
percent <--> decimal <---> fraction
eg. to change a decial to a percent, move the decimal two places to the right, then add the percent sign, (0.125 = 12.5%)
there are 6 such conversions
make yourself a summary of them, then learn how and when to use them.
