width --- x
length --- x+16

2x + 2(x+16) = 200

Answered by Andrew
Perimeter (p) = 200cm
2(L+B)=200

Length (L)= (16+x)cm

Solution
substitute 2(16+x)=200
32+2x=200
2x=200-32
2x=168
divide both sides by 2
2x=168
2x/2=168/2
x= 81
Remember, Length(L)= 16+x
16+81
Length=97cm
2(L+B)=200
2(97+B)=200
divide both sides by 2
2(97+B)/2=200/2
(97+B)= 100
97+B=100
B=100-97
B=3cm.
