Make a number line on a piece of paper. Draw the situation on it.
Left 8 from -20
-20-8 = -28

So, at midnight since the temperature WAS -20 and it rose 8. It wouldn't be -28. It'd be -12, because the 8 is positive. In conclusion the temperature would be -12 at 6am
Does that make sense? TwT
