From midnight to 6:00 am, the temperature rose 8 degrees c. at 6:00 am, the temperature was -20 degrees c. What was the temperature at midnight?

after having risen 8° since midnight

So at midnight it was -28°

(years ago that would have been just a nippy night. These last few years it never got that cold in my part of Canada)
