how would you do the Empirical And Molecular formula stuff i got three elenments that are Carbon with 78.23% , Hydrogen with 6.56% , and Nitrogen with 15.21%

1 answer

Take a 100 g sample. That will give you 78.23 g C, 6.56 g H, and 15.21 g N.
Determine mols C, mols H, and mols N by mols = grams/molar mass.
Then find the ratio of small whole numbers. The easiest way to do that is to divide the smallest number by itself, then to keep things proportional, divide the other two numbers by that same small number to arrive at the empirical formula. Post your work if you get stuck.
