if so then
v = -gt
d = -(1/2) g t^2
from second two to second three:
d = -(1/2)g (9-4) = -(5/2) g
from second three to second four:
d = -(1/2)g (16-9) = -(7/2) g
ratio = 7/5
v = -gt
