batter is a type of hitting? & break is
a time of sound?

Your answer about batter and break is correct...now which other one has something that breaks something else.

Clasp holds a necklace....which other sentence has something that holds.
Answered by Writeacher
Frankly, they don't make sense to me either.

1. shatter = break (they are synonyms for each other -- http://www.thesaurus.com )
I see no synonyms among your choices, however.

2. A clasp holds a necklace together, but I don't see any such relationship between any of the choices for this one either.

Who made these up?
Answered by GuruBlue
A clasp holds a necklace around a person.... a buckle holds a person in a seat

This is exactly as it shows on the work sheet.

I can't figure it out.

Shatter and Break have the same sound
