I'm in Language Arts 8 B and I have to write an argumentative essay for the poems “The Sky is Low, the Clouds are Mean” and “Concrete Mixers”.
I have to do 5-7 paragraphs and I am a good writer and usually get a good grade, but I was wondering if someone could give me a few could hook sentences to catch the readers attention.
Just examples, not stuff from the actual poems.
Thank you.
By the way if someone doesn't know what a Hook Sentence is, it's a sentence that grabs the readers attention, and usually makes them want to read more. But, I want a good topic/hook sentence.

Write the rest of the essay. By then a good hook sentence should occur to you.
