The local zoo has 3 lions, 4 elephants, 2 giraffes, 5 monkeys, and 2 zebras. What is the ratios of zebras total animals.

Answer: I counted the total number of animals which is 16 so I got 2 zebras to 16 animals or 2:16 or 2/16
Do I need to do anything else in this problem? Please help me because I have not done ratios before.

It asked for zebras : total
= 2 : 16
= 1 : 8 , not 8 : 1

Would it be 2/16=1/8 so total number of zebras 1 to 8 animals total?
