1. words with necessary accents are incorrect if the accent is not there. The answer is B BUT cortó requires an accent.
Preterit is an action "over and done with" = she DID cut herself
Imperfect is an action "ongoing" = she WAS cooking and uses the Imperfect of estar with the Present Participle (NOT the Preterit)
2. me lastimé = means "on purpose" so the answer is B but only with the 2 necessary accent marks = lastimó & fútbol
3. Since the subject could be "tú" (BUT with the accent, because "tu" means your (adjective) and tú = you (subject), or usted, or even ustedes (OR vosotros IF your textbook teaches it)

usted estaba
ustedes estaban
D is correct IF you understand that the subject is usted, so B is the best choice here BUT only with the accent mark on tú
