Finally, one I can anwser!
Actually, this dog would be listed under Group 1: Sporting Dogs by AKC standards. These cover retrievers and gun dogs. The varying Hound group covers anything from Salukis to beagles. Internationally, it would be listed under Group 8: Flushing dogs/water dogs/retrievers. And while all breeds may be able to flush game, definately not all dogs can retrieve them! TMI, hey?
