f(x)=7/(ln(x^2+5))

find f'(1)
Cant seem to be getting the right answer. I believe can I get help finding the derivative.... thank you

1 answer

you could write

f(x) = 7*ln(x^2+5)^-1
then, using the power and chain rules,

f'(x) = 7*(-1)*ln(x^2+5)^-2 * (2x)
= -14x/ln(x^2+5)^2
f'(1) = -14/(ln6)^2
