The height of Tower A is 940 feet more than Tower B. The two towers have a combined height of 1,540 feet. What are the heights of each​ tower?

Ta-940=Tb
Ta+Tb=1540

subtract the first equation from the second.

Tb+940=1540-Tb
2Tb=600
Tb=300 which implies Ta=1240feet
