The reaction A + B -> C + D is second order in A and zero order in B. The value of k is 0.012 M-1 min-1. What is the rate of this reaction when [A] = 0.125 M and [B] = 0.435 M?

"Scale" means what you multiply something by to get the proper dimensions. So, 1/4 inch on the drawing is 1 foot in real life. How to do this one is to first figure out how many quarter inches are in 4 5/8 inches. Do this by dividing 4 5/8 by .25. The num...

Calculate the standard Gibbs free energy NH3(g) + HCl(G) --> NH4Cl Ive tried but I keep getting a different answer How do I get to the correc tanswer which is -91.2 kJ?
17 years ago
Balanced equation NH3(g) + HCl(G) --> NH4Cl deltaH = (1 mol)(-314.4 kJ/mol) - (1 mol)(-45.9 kJ/mol) plus (1 mol)(-92.3 kJ/mol) =-176.2 kJ deltas = (1 mol)(94.6) - (1 mol)(192.78) plus (1 mol)(-186.90) = 0.00588 DG = DH - TDS =176.2 kJ / 0.00588 =29995

I mean -176.2 -(278)(o.oo588) = -177.8

Write the expression for Ka for the ionization of acetic acid in water.

When I calculate the percent difference between your value for Ka and the accepted value, what could be two sources of error that might account for any differences?

You pretty much answered my question thanks! :)

-1-(2)=3 -3-(-5)=2 *Change the two minus signs to plus, then add -3 plus 5 equals 2.
