What is the lateral surface area of the prism?

Rectangular prism
Length: 17.2
Width: 3
Height: 5.5

283.8 m^2
292.4 m^2
325.4 m^2
407 m^2

I already found the surface area (325.4 m^2) and I'm using the formula for lateral surface area 2lh + 2wh... but I keep getting 222.2 which is not an option!:( Please tell me what I am doing wrong? Thanks

17.2 * 5.5 * 2 = 189.2
3 * 5.5 * 2 = 33

I get the same answer. Check with your teacher.

We were taught this way:
SA=LA+2B

LA=ph
p=perimeter of the base

So with that it would be set up like this: (2(17.2)+2(3))5.5+2(17.2*3)
And the answer would be 325.4 m^2

Oh! Sorry, I saw surface area and messed up. I apologize.

so if you read the question carefully enough it says at the top: assume that the 3 x 5.5 m rectangles on the right and left are the bases. that means that 17.2 is the height.
LA=(2L + 2 W)H
LA=(2 x 3 + 2 x 5.5)17.2
LA=(6+11)17.2
LA=(17)17.2
LA=292.4
so the answer is 292.4m^2
HOPE THAT HELPS!!!

5. A (3ft)
Got a 3/5 but these are correct
Answered by Saraya is right.
5/5 for Saraya. Though it would be best if you only use it to check your work.
