What would be the average velocity of an object falling 1.25m from the rest, just as it strikes the ground?

V^2 = Vo^2 + 2g*h = 0 +19.6*1.25 = 24.5
V = 4.95 m/s.

V(avg) = (Vo+V)/2 = (0+4.95)/2 =
2.47 m/s.
