What must be the radius of an unbanked (flat) curve so that a car can safely travel at a maximum speed of 39 m/s? The coefficient of static friction is 0.70.

v = Vi + a t
v = 0 when it stops
0 = 2.7 - .12 t
y = 2.25 seconds to stop
d = Vi t - (1/2) a t^2
= 2.7 * 2.25 - .5 * .12 * 2.25^2
v = 0 when it stops
0 = 2.7 - .12 t
y = 2.25 seconds to stop
d = Vi t - (1/2) a t^2
= 2.7 * 2.25 - .5 * .12 * 2.25^2
