A steel bar reaches a temperature of 420 degrees celsius after it has been welded. Over the next 50 minutes the steel bar cools to 30 degrees celsius. What is the rate of temperature change of the iron?

delta T = 30 - 420 = - 390
delta t = 50 min
so
-390/50 = 7.8 degrees per minute
