Write the slope-intercept (y = mx + b) form of the equation from the information given.
The line goes through the points (1/2, 3/2) and (-1/4, 5/4)
I really don't know how to do this problem, can someone please show me how?

Same type as your previous ones....
ok, I'll do it because of the fractions, but notice the steps are exactly the same
slope = (5/4 - 3/2) / (-1/4 - 1/2)
= 1/3
so the equation is y = (1/3)x + b
sub in your first point (1/2 , 3/2)
3/2 = (1/3)(1/2) + b
3/2 - 1/6 = b
b = 4/3
y = (1/3) x + 4/3
