I have to rewrite a letter to a local newspaper.

Original Text:
your application for the advertised position has been forwarded to our personnel office. As the selection process moves forward, we will be in touch. Thank you for your interest.


I have to rewrite this paragraph but it is expressed very simply. How else can i write this?

I think it's the second (middle) sentence that could be worded differently. And/or you could eliminate the part about forwarding the application to personnel. You could just say the application has been received.
