The volume of a block of a gold is 0.5 m sqare. if it is hammered into a sheet to cover an area of 1 hectare,find the thicness of the sheet.

It is not 0.5 meter square
Volume must be in meters CUBED
It is probably a cube.
but from what you wrote I can not say if you mean a cube with a square base with sides of 0.5 meter
In which case we would have V = .5^3 = .125 m^3
or
perhaps you mean V = 0.5 m^3
in either case
V = thickness times one hectare
but 1 hectare = 10,000 m^2
so
V /10,000 = thickness in meters
(which will be extremely small)
