You have been given a recipe for a completely new fruit drink. The recipe has three
parts. Here is the recipe:
Fruit drink recipe: 2 parts pineapple juice, 3 parts cranberry juice; 5 parts lemon
juice
The mixers need to make 1 quart (4 cups) of juice for the taste test. How much of
each ingredient do they need? Explain your solution.
If I am not mistaken that original recipe makes 1 cup only and you only have to multiply the ingredients x 4?

2 parts = 2/10
3 parts = 3/10
5 parts = 5/10
(2/10) * 4 = 8/10 = 4/5 cup
(3/10) * 4 = 12/10 = 1 2/10 = 1 1/5 cup
(5/10) * 4 = 20/10 = 2 cups
3 parts = 3/10
5 parts = 5/10
(2/10) * 4 = 8/10 = 4/5 cup
(3/10) * 4 = 12/10 = 1 2/10 = 1 1/5 cup
(5/10) * 4 = 20/10 = 2 cups

2 part Pine
3 part Cran
5 parts Lemon
(2/10)+(3/10)+(5/10)=10/10 = 8(0.5cups)
0.5 cups pine
1.5 cups cran
2.0 cups lemon
= 4.0 cups total
3 part Cran
5 parts Lemon
(2/10)+(3/10)+(5/10)=10/10 = 8(0.5cups)
0.5 cups pine
1.5 cups cran
