    as with the single dimension, the coordinates of the midpoint of a line in the plane is the average of each coordinate:
((-1+5)/2 , (0+2)/2) = (2,1)

((-1+5)/2 , (0+2)/2) = (2,1)

    midpoint = (x1+x2 / 2 , y1+y2 / 2)
5 + x2 / 2 = -1
5 + x2 = -2
x2 = -7
2 + y2 / 2 = 0
2 + y2 = 0
y2 = -2
Other endpoint: (-7, -2)

5 + x2 / 2 = -1
5 + x2 = -2
x2 = -7
2 + y2 / 2 = 0
2 + y2 = 0
y2 = -2
Other endpoint: (-7, -2)
