Is this % w/w or % w/v? I'll assume % w/v
% w/v = (grams solute/50 mL)*100
Solve for grams.

I'm going to assume that this is mass/volume percent:

m/v%=(g/mL)*100

6.0%=(x g/50mL)*100

(6.0/100)*50=x g

Solve for x g

Which should be 3g, I believe.
