There are 40 grams of sugar in 12 oz can of Dr.Pepper. If your max intake of sugar permitted for the day is 25 grams, How much of the doctor pepper can you drink?

40/25 = 12/x
40x = 300
x = 300/40 = 7.5 oz

7.5/12 = 5/8 of a can

So you should drink just a bit over half the can
