The position of two towns X and Y are given to the nearest degree as X(45° N, 10° W) and Y (45 N°, 70° W).
Find
(a) The distance between the two towns in
(i) Kilometers ( take the radius of the earth as 63711)
(ii) Nautical miles ( take I nautical mile to be 1.85 km)
(b) The local time at X when the local time at Y is 2.00 p.m.

X and Y are 80° apart.
Each time zone is 15° wide.
So, the towns are 5 1/3 time zones apart. Depending on their proximity to the zone lines, they could be 6 or 7 hours apart.
The rest I'm sure you can do with normal trig operations. If not, show how far you got, so we can help a bit more.
