P = Perimeter of a square = 4a

Length of a wire = Perimeter of a square

L = P

24 cm = 4 a Divide both sides by 4

6 cm = a

a = 6 cm


A = Area of the square = a ^ 2

A = 6 ^ 2 = 36 cm ^ 2
