A mass of 25kg is acted on by a force of 56N. If a friction force of 12N exists, find the acceleration of the mass.

I have worked the following:
a=F/M = 44/25 = 1.76 m/s2
Am I correct?

a = (Fap-Ff)/M = (56-12)/25 = 1.76 m/s^2
