I have a couple of questions.
Is this a correct way of saying I like to ride a bike in the summer? Do I need an article before été?
En été, j'aime faire du vélo.
Is l'opération male or female?
How do you say I like to visit different places in the holidays?

First sentence is perfect! No, no article with été here.
Handy hint: all words ending in -tion are feminine.
J'aime visiter des endoits différents pendant (during) les jours de fête. (in = dans, if you prefer)
Sra (aka Mme)
I'll "flag" this so I can come back later, in case you have other questions.
