as you know, the derivative of e^u = e^u u'
So, ∫e^u du = e^u
Here, u = -x, so du = -dx
You thus have
∫e^u (-du) = -∫e^u du = -e^u = -e^-x
So, ∫e^u du = e^u
Here, u = -x, so du = -dx
You thus have
∫e^u (-du) = -∫e^u du = -e^u = -e^-x
