3 (1 + x)^1/3 - x (1 + x)^-2/3 divided by (1 + x)^2/3

just to unclutter things, let u = (1+x)^1/3. Then we have

(3u-x/u^2)/u^2
= (3u^3-x)/u^4
= (3(1+x)-x)/(1+x)^4/3
= (2x+3)/(1+x)^4/3
