no, actually i'm in seventh grade. i'm taking algebra 1. :)
i reposted it btw ok? :):):) just so you know.
both are right. the line does have infinite solutions, so either way works. it really depends on what you think works best or how your teacher teaches it.
ok for "r" i got 1.388888888888888(cont.)
thanks chopsticks. yeah that makes sense... i'm gonna try it.
yeah.........................
yes!! to check, just plug in the numbers and see if they fit. :)
yeah... i don't know about that equation though. i don't think 15 fits into it....
i kinda did ratios 5:2 =10 4:1 =7 8:8 =? so then 2 1/2:1 =5 2:1/2 =3 1/2 4:4 =?
maybe it's 6a=b? and they are 15 min apart?
erg i still don't really get it. oh well
LOONDSI i tried this one. kinda. i don't think this is right but my equation was this: 6a+15=b -15 -15 6a=b-15 -b -b -15=6a-b -1(-15=6a-b) 15=(-6)a+b and then i guessed and checked... (-2,3) worked but that didn't help. now i'm stuck too. nooni
hey!! rachelle (loondsiy) :):):)
no. i thought that is what their weights together were!!!??? :)
do you mean that they can orbit forever? if so then no they can't.

srry that was me above
why did you repost?? look on your other one the answers are there
what i would do is divide 30 by 2, which is 15. then, since they are 8 apart, find 15-4 and 15+4. those are the two numbers they are 8 apart and =30. hope this helps, mel
