you have three jugs and a river of water. The jugs are known to hold exactly 3, 7, and 10 liters.

How can you use these jugs to measure exactly 5 liters of water?

Scoop water using the 3 liter jug and poor it into the 10 liter jug.
Do this 3 times.
You should have 9 liters in the 10 liter jug.
Pour from the 10 liter jug into the 7 liter jug until the 7 liter jug is full.
You should have 2 liters in the 10 liter jug now.
Scoop up another 3 liter jug of water and dump it into the 10 liter jug (that has 2 liters in it).
That gives you exactly 5 liters of water!
Thank you, Bobby! I puzzled over this question for at least an hour -- and couldn't figure it out!
