both say y = ...
so y = y
x^2 - x = 2x + 18
x^2 - 3x - 18 = 0
(x-6)(x+3) = 0
x = 6, x = -3

if x = 6, y = 12+18 = 30
if x = -3, y = -6 + 18 = 12

now state those answers in the form asked for
