y = (x^2.7/9 + 7/x^2.7) (9x-1)

dy/dx solve derivative and show work

1 answer

you can use the product rule and get

y' = (x^1.7/9 + 7/x^3.7)(9x-1) + 9(x^2.7/9 + 7/x^2.7)

or you can expand the expression to get

y = x^3.7 - x^2.7/9 + 63/x^1.7 - 7/x^2.7

and then get

y' = 3.7 x^2.7 - .3 x^1.7 - 107.1/x^2.7 + 18.9/x^3.7

I'll let you verify that the results are the same.
